Flying L Class of 1965 Invades Mia-Kia Thursday June 18

The Flying L Class of 1965 is having their 50th reunion at  Pier 66 the weekend of June 19 & 20 and would like to invite Flying L's from any and all classes to a Pre-Reunion Happy Hour at the Mia-Kia on Thursday June 18 from 5 - ?? at the Mia-Kia on Federal Highway.  The more the merrier.

The Mia-Kia was chosen because many of you:

• Had your first illegal or first legal drink there
• Took your Prom or first date there
• Celebrated a birthday or anniversary there
• Parked cars there in high school, college or in between jobs
• Threw soap in the pools and fountains
• Puked in the parking lot from too much rum and fruit juice

Please let us know if you will attend by emailing FlyingL65@aol.com so we can make sure there is enough waitstaff, rum and blenders to accommodate the crowds.

If you are checking into Pier 66 early we will meet in the lobby at 4:15 to decide to car pool, taxi or Uber to the Mia-Kia.

Let's have 100 Flying L's represented.

Alright………………We know the question that many of you have been asking about the reunion.   “Before I decide to go, I want to know who’s coming.”

 

Well here it is.  This is a list of classmates that have paid or have made room reservations at the hotel, during the weekend of June 19-21, 2015, as of 4/9/15.

Flying L Class of 65 Class Reunion date change to 6/19-20

Heads up.  We are still having our 50th Class Reunion for the FLHS 1965 at Pier 66 but now one week after we initially scheduled it.  New date: Friday and Saturday June 19&20

Some conflicts at the hotel with guest rooms and meeting rooms but it's all smoothed out now.

Still a great $139 room rate and the Reunion Committee should have the reunion prices hammered out soon.

This is an all casual event, not a remake of the prom as you have no excuses not to attend.

FLHS Flying L Class of 65 needs help finding lost sheep

The Fort Lauderdale High School - Flying L Class of 1965 is having their 50th Class reunion at Pier 66 in June 2015 and wants to make sure everyone gets an invitation to attend.  Although the Reunion Committee members have been like bull dogs trying to find all the class members we still are missing the info on a few.

• For all you 1964 graduates of Fort Lauderdale High School....our 50th reunion is scheduled for the weekend of June 14, 2014 at Pier 66. Two things, one, please remember that date and plan to attend and two, let everyone you know who graduated that year from FLHS know about it and get in contact with Diane Woodworth David, Steve Hall, Leslie Fields Clark or me with their current contact information. FLHS Class of 1963 announces 50th Reunion Plan

We have scheduled our BIG Reunion for the 2013 Memorial Day Weekend: 5/24-5/27-Friday night, Saturday and Sunday brunch. This will be held at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale beach Hotel (formerly Yankee Clipper). We have a block of rooms, ocea...n view/front, for a great group price of $149.00/night (single or double), plus tax. This rate is also guaranteed for the 2 nights before and 2 nights after the Reunion. You are encouraged to make your reservations early, by 4/24/2013, as the rooms in the main building will be limited. We always accept donations also, to help cover expenses, deposits and other commitments.
